Angular Contact Ball Bearings (ACBB) – 20 mm ID to 380 mm OD are precision bearings designed to accommodate combined radial and axial loads simultaneously. With bore diameters ranging from 20 mm to 380 mm, this family serves applications requiring high rotational accuracy, rigidity, and thrust load capacity in one or both directions.

Key Technical Features:

  • Contact angle options: Available in standard contact angles of 15° (C)25° (AC)30° (A), and 40° (B). Smaller angles (15°) prioritize high-speed capability; larger angles (40°) maximize axial load capacity. Custom angles available for specialized applications.

  • Load characteristics: ACBBs support significant axial loads in one direction when used singly. For bidirectional axial loads, bearings are mounted in pairs (back-to-back, face-to-face, or tandem arrangements). Back-to-back (DB) provides highest moment rigidity; face-to-face (DF) accommodates misalignment; tandem (DT) doubles axial capacity in one direction.

  • Precision grades: Available in P0 (ABEC 1) for general use, P6 (ABEC 3)P5 (ABEC 5)P4 (ABEC 7), and P2 (ABEC 9) for high-speed spindles and precision machinery. Universal matching (SU) designations allow interchangeable pairing.

  • Internal design: Optimized raceway geometry with controlled ball-pocket clearance reduces friction and heat generation at high speeds. High-grade (G5 or G10) balls ensure smooth rotation and minimal vibration.

  • Cage materials: Pressed steel (standard), machined brass (high temperature, heavy loads), or phenolic resin (high speed, low inertia). Polyamide cages available for low-noise applications.

  • Sealing options: Open (no seals), metal shields (ZZ), or rubber seals (2RS) for contamination protection. Sealed versions typically limited to smaller bore sizes due to speed constraints.

  • Materials: Chrome steel (52100) for standard applications; stainless steel (440C) for corrosion resistance; hybrid ceramic (Si₃N₄ balls) for ultra-high speed and electrical insulation.

Applications:
This ACBB range serves machine tool spindles, high-speed electric motors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, robotics, automotive wheel hubs, and precision rotating tables. These bearings deliver high rigidity, precise axial positioning, and reliable performance in demanding rotating machinery.
